Sample
Champion Release 1.0.2.204 and above.
These are the latest updates in Sample Champion (still not included
in the manual):
File exporting and importing options

(1)
When an Impulse Response is exported as WAV, the data values
of the Impulse in the WAV file are normalized (WAV file values
are integer between +/-32767).
(2)
When measuring a STEREO IR or Scope, here can be selected the
exported channel (TIM files support only 1 channel).
(3)
A WAV file, when loaded, can be recognized by Sample
Champion as Scope or Impulse Response Data. When loaded as IR,
the values can be optionally normalized (4).
(5)
Here are some options for exporting Fequency Data.
(6)
Here are some options for exporting Impulse Response Data.
(7)
Here are some options for exporting Scope Data.
(8)
Simple Form exporting option enables a simplest format
of the exported Impulse Response and Scope Data.
In
Sample Champion version 1.0.2.202 and above, ASCII(TXT) Impulse
Response files measured by using other software can be imported.
Only single channel Data are accepted. The format of the imported
files is the following:
Row
nr. 1 --> Title (Text, Ignored)
Row nr. 2 --> DeltaT (ms)
Row nr. 3 --> Number of Data
= N
Row nr. 4 --> Data nr.1
Row nr. 5 --> Data nr.2
Row nr. 6 --> ..
Last Row ---> Data nr.N
Example
(4096 data, Fs=48kHz):
My
Impulse Response
0.0208333 <-- This is DeltaT (ms); DeltaT=1000/Sampling
Freq.
4096 <-- This is the number of the following
Data
0.00114076 <-- This is the Data nr. 1
0.00135692 <-- This is the Data nr. 2
...
The
above format is very similar to files exported by MLSSA system.
IR and Scope Data are exported by Sample Champion in this format
when the Simple Form option is enabled.

Clear
selected data

(1)
With this option IR Data between "Selection A" cursors
can be set to zero.

Overlay
generated signal

(1)
With this option, the WAVE generated by the internal signal
generator can be overlaid with the sampled data (in Scope Mode).
This can be extremely useful for comparing the result of a measurement
with the Ideal wave in the Time Domain. In the above
example is shown a 200 Hz Square wave (the sampled wave is green
and the generated wave is fuchsia).

Audio
Device Selection
In
Settings/Hardware Window the Audio Device used by Sample Champion
can be selected (if more than one are installed in the PC).
When a device is selected, the internal mixer will be updated
(for the selected device) next time Sample Champion is run.
